Recently, PTCL confirmed the rumor that they are slashing their DSL rates in half. Completely letting go of the 256Kbps bandwidth, now PTCL is offering 512 Kbps, 1 MB and 2 Mb links for Rs 1190, Rs 2000 and Rs 4000 respectively.

Since the launch of Wateen, the plot has considerably thickened; CyberNet is already worried about losing its massive market share in the data market, LinkDotNet has stepped in with the first unlimited 256 Kbps connection and to top it all off, PTCL has officially started the pricing wars with doing with what they just did.
