Who we are
The Lahore Tribune is an independent news publication reporting on Lahore. We cover the city as it is: its neighborhoods and its institutions, the services people depend on, the courts that decide their disputes, and the politics that shapes all of it.
Lahore is a city of more than twelve million people. It is covered nationally when something large happens and largely ignored the rest of the time. The daily work of the city—a water main unrepaired for four months, a case sitting undecided at the sessions court, a market association in dispute with the district administration—falls between the cracks. That reporting is what we exist to do.
What we cover
- Lahore City — neighbourhoods, transport, education, health, and the daily life of the city.
- Crime & Courts — policing, investigations, and proceedings at the Lahore High Court and the sessions courts.
- Civic Issues — WASA and water supply, LESCO and power, sanitation, traffic, LDA development, and municipal accountability. This is our core beat.
- Politics — the Punjab Assembly, parties, local government, and elections.
- Business — markets, trade bodies, property, industry and employment.
- Culture & Heritage — the Walled City, Mughal monuments, festivals, literature, theatre, music and food.
- Sports — cricket at Gaddafi Stadium, hockey, football, and school and club competition.
- Punjab & National — developments beyond the city that affect it.
How we work
We report what we can verify. Where we cannot verify something, we say so. Where we get something wrong, we correct it openly and leave a record of the correction on the page.
Our Editorial Policy sets out our standards on sourcing, verification, anonymity, conflicts of interest, and the use of AI tools. Our Corrections page explains how to tell us we have made a mistake and what happens when you do.
Ownership
The Lahore Tribune is published by The Narrative Broadcast Network (Private) Limited, registered in Pakistan. It is part of a group that also publishes Islamabad Tribune and Pakistan Narrative.
