LAHORE, October 12, 2026: Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister Rashid Iqbal Nasrullah visited the office of DIG Operations Lahore, where DIG Faisal Kamran briefed him on the facilities and assistance provided to citizens during the police open court (Khuli Kachehri).

DIG Operations Orders Action on Citizens’ Complaints

During the proceedings, a citizen expressed gratitude to DIG Operations Faisal Kamran and his team after an eight-year-old land dispute was successfully resolved. The citizen presented a bouquet to the DIG in appreciation of the assistance provided.

Meanwhile, a job seeker who had travelled from Jhelum to Lahore reported falling victim to an alleged employment scam. According to the complainant, unidentified individuals contacted him through WhatsApp and invited him to Garden Town with promises of employment.

The complainant alleged that the individuals took his money without providing a job, leaving him without accommodation. He told the DIG that he had been forced to spend the entire night on the streets.

Taking notice of the complaint, DIG Faisal Kamran directed the relevant officers to take legal action against those allegedly involved and pursue recovery of the complainant’s money.

Hanjarwal Residents Raise Safety Concerns

In another case, residents of Hanjarwal submitted a collectively signed application expressing concern over the activities of individuals allegedly creating disturbances in their neighborhood.

The residents complained that groups of individuals were gathering in residential streets and allegedly harassing women and girls, creating serious safety concerns for local families.

DIG Faisal Kamran took notice of the complaints and instructed the SHO Hanjarwal to initiate immediate legal action in accordance with the law.

He emphasized that individuals involved in harassing women and girls would not be tolerated in Lahore and warned that those disturbing public peace would face legal consequences.

The DIG further stated that police would not allow a culture of intimidation and lawlessness to develop in Lahore’s residential neighborhoods.

Multiple Complaints Referred for Necessary Action

Several other citizens approached the open court with complaints involving alleged financial fraud, interest-based lending disputes, property disagreements, rental matters, financial transactions and mortgaged houses.

DIG Faisal Kamran heard the grievances and issued directions to the relevant officers for necessary action.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the purpose of holding open courts was not merely to listen to complaints but to ensure practical relief for citizens.

He reaffirmed that protecting citizens’ dignity, ensuring their safety and resolving their problems promptly remained among the foremost priorities of Lahore Police.
